You have no idea how long it took me to work out a title for this post. The struggle was due to the fact that this book post is not about the typical novels I enjoy reading. Instead it is about cook books, exercise books and coloring books that I have been enjoying recently.
Don’t get me wrong I love a good novel (and a post on those types of books will be coming soon) but I really wanted to share some of the other books that I enjoy using and perhaps you would to!
So here is my list of 5 books with some reviews for your reading pleasure!
1. Naturally Nourished by: Sarah Britton
I saw this book at a Costco believe it or not and was instantly drawn to it due to the gorgeous photos on the cover and the inside. If you did not know already I love anything related to food and health and this book was the perfect mix. The author, Sarah Britton, is also the creator of the blog, My New Roots, another great reason to purchase the book- support the bloggers! I have already tried a bunch of recipes in the book, my favorite (so far) being the Pantry Pea and Dill soup!
2. The Women’s Health BIG BOOK OF EXERCISES
I love fitness, what I love about it is the way I feel afterwards- though I may dread it when it comes to getting up to do it! But like most people we face the trouble of finding the time to actually do it. Which is why I have been obsessed with this book lately! I actually got this book for Christmas but I only started really using it last month and I have been loving it. It is great for a quick rummage through before I go to bed along with some yoga (post coming soon on that as well!). If you are on the look out for a good quick workout guide with a ton of different exercises then this the book to get!
3. Tanya Bakes by Tanya Burr
I love to bake-probably more than I love to cook so I am a fan of any book that has to do with baking. I also have a major sweet tooth so this is perfect to satisfy that! Tanya Burr also happens to be one of my favorite YouTubers/Bloggers so why not support them? Anyways if you are looking for a great book for baking desserts- with a section for special occasions (like Halloween, Christmas and Easter), which I love, then this is the book for you!
4. Color me Stress-Free by Lacy Mucklow illustrated by Angela Porter
If you have not checked out my 5 Tips to De-Stress, then you would not know that I tend to get stressed out sometimes and am always looking for ways to de-stress! I love this coloring book, the templates are very beautiful and well done, overall this book is very fun to color in!
5. The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook by Dinah Bucholz
You probably don’t know this. But I am a major fan of Harry Potter- from the books to the movies- I love it all! What you do know is that I am a big fan of cooking and baking so when I saw this at my local Barnes & Noble I freaked out. I had to buy it. I always love getting snacky bits out when I am watching a movie and figured this was the perfect book to take out when watching those movies. Favorite recipe so far: Hagrid’s Rock Cakes.
